# Play Sequence with friends online

> Private Sequence rooms with a room code or invite link — free in the browser.

A friends room is a **private lobby**. Unlike [Play Online](https://sequence.stratzagames.com/play-online.md) matchmaking, only people with your code or invite link can join.

## How to invite

1. Open https://sequence.stratzagames.com/?play=1 and choose **Play with Friends**.
2. Create a room and copy the **room code** or invite link.
3. Share it. Friends open the link, or go to https://sequence.stratzagames.com/join and enter the code.
4. Start when everyone is ready; race to two Sequences.
5. Stay in the lobby to rematch without a new code.

## Code vs invite link

- **Invite link** — easiest on phones; one tap into the room.
- **Room code** — best when Sequence is already open; enter it on the join screen.
- Both open the same private table.

## Tips

- Create the room first, then share so nobody waits in an empty lobby.
- One host creates the room; everyone else joins.
- Keep the lobby open between games for rematches.
- New players: share [How to play](https://sequence.stratzagames.com/how-to-play.md).

## FAQ

**Do friends need an app?** No — browser is enough. Android app optional.

**Is the room code private?** Yes — only invitees can join that table.

**Can we rematch?** Yes — stay in the lobby and start another game.
