# Sequence Catch

> Three rabbits sit on the board. Only five in a row through a rabbit with your own chip on it counts, and the first one wins.

Sequence Catch is a free Sequence mode played against the Catch Expert AI. The deck, jacks, free corners and dead-card swaps are the same as classic Sequence; only the win condition changes.

## How it works

1. Open Sequence and choose **Sequence Catch**.
2. Three rabbits sit on random card spaces at least two spaces in from every edge and at least three rows or columns apart.
3. Play cards and place chips as in classic Sequence.
4. Put your own chip on a rabbit, then build five in a row through it.
5. The first Sequence through a rabbit you hold wins at once. Other Sequences do not count.
6. If the board fills or the deck runs out before anyone catches a rabbit, the game is a draw.

## Catch vs classic Sequence

Classic Sequence needs two five-in-a-row Sequences anywhere. Sequence Catch needs one, through a rabbit holding your chip. Full classic rules: [How to play](https://sequence.stratzagames.com/how-to-play.md).

## Tips

- Claim a rabbit early; a rabbit under your chip is a line nobody else can use.
- Save a one-eyed jack for an opponent chip on a rabbit.
- Hold a two-eyed jack for a rabbit space you cannot match.
- Ignore Sequences away from the rabbits; they do not score.
