Sequence Catch
Three rabbits hide on the board. In Sequence Catch the only line that counts is five in a row through a rabbit with your own chip on it. Catch one before the Catch Expert AI and you win. Free in the browser.
How Sequence Catch works
- Open Sequence and choose Sequence Catch on the home screen.
- Three rabbits sit on random card spaces near the middle of the board, spread at least three rows or columns apart.
- Play cards and place chips as in classic Sequence. Jacks and free corners work as usual.
- Put your own chip on a rabbit, then build five in a row through that space.
- The first Sequence through a rabbit you hold wins at once. Every other Sequence is ignored.
- If the board fills or the deck runs out before anyone catches a rabbit, the game is a draw.
Why play Sequence Catch
- Short, sharp games — one catch wins, so every game is a race to the same three spaces.
- A new kind of blocking — you can ignore most of the board and guard the rabbits instead.
- Jacks matter more — a two-eyed jack can land on a rabbit and a one-eyed jack can knock an opponent off one.
- Free in the browser — no download on phone or desktop, or get the Android app.
Sequence Catch vs classic Sequence
Classic Sequence is won with two five-in-a-row Sequences anywhere on the board. Sequence Catch is won with one Sequence, but it must pass through a rabbit that holds your chip. The deck, jacks, free corners and dead-card swaps are unchanged. Full classic rules live on how to play Sequence.
Tips for catching the rabbit
- Claim a rabbit early. A rabbit under your chip is a line nobody else can use.
- Save a one-eyed jack for an opponent chip sitting on a rabbit before it is locked into a Sequence.
- Hold a two-eyed jack for the rabbit space you cannot match with a card.
- Block the four spaces beside an opponent's rabbit in their strongest direction, not the whole line.
- Ignore pretty Sequences away from the rabbits; they do not score in this mode.

Sequence Catch FAQ
What is Sequence Catch?
A free Sequence mode with three rabbits on the board. Only five in a row through a rabbit with your own chip on it counts, and the first one wins.
How many Sequences do I need?
One. A single five-in-a-row through a rabbit you hold wins straight away. Sequences that miss every rabbit do not count.
Where do the rabbits appear?
On three random card spaces at least two spaces in from every edge, and at least three rows or columns apart.
Can it end in a draw?
Yes. If the board fills up or the deck runs out before anyone catches a rabbit, the game is a draw.
Do jacks work in Sequence Catch?
Yes. Two-eyed jacks can place on a rabbit, and one-eyed jacks can remove an unlocked opponent chip from one.
